Job Description

- Prepare, analyze, and interpret Financial Statements exercising discretion and judgment for seven individual entities.

- Prepare and reconcile Balance Sheets and Income Statement accounts.

- Prepare General Ledger journal entries and reconciliations for period end closing in a timely manner.

- Manage and maintain company bank accounts to include daily and monthly reconciliations.

- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivables.

- Process monthly sales tax payments and maintain accurate records.

- Prepare and maintain all property tax for all entities.

- Focus on serving seven restaurant locations by responding to and answering concerns and financial inquiries.

- Review daily sales reports for each entity on a daily basis.

- Develop and maintain advance knowledge of accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, and internal controls.

- Interpret Cost of Goods from monthly inventory reports.

Skills & Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

- Minimum 3-5 years of general ledger/financial statement or equivalent public accounting experience, preferably in restaurant or hospitality field.

- Must have accounting knowledge in general ledger, P&L and Financial Statements

- Must be able to effectively prepare, present information, respond to questions, and translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels including Corporate Officers and non-finance managers.

- Able to use systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problem and evaluation of alternative solutions.

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to work and interact well with others, able to develop and maintain positive working relationships

- Must be able to work well with minimum supervision

- Must be dependable and responsible, willing to take responsibility for work assigned.

- Must have excellent organizational and planning skills, establish priorities, utilize available resources and organize work to meet strict deadlines and commitments.

- Ability to identify areas for process improvements and initiate process improvement change.

- Must be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

- Thrive in entrepreneurial start-up environment and working conditions - Prior restaurant experience is a plus

- Local candidates preferred
