Technology Trainer

US-VA-Tysons Corner

The position of Technology Trainer is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing high quality training for Technology employees, as part of the Technology Operations team. The Technology Operations team strives to make sure the entire technology department runs as smoothly as possible, driving process improvement and managing communication across all our global offices.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design training sessions and related training materials, such as reference guides, videos, and articles
  • Facilitate online and in-person training sessions for smaller as well as wider audiences
  • Partner with other trainers, managers and teams to assess and determine training needs related to onboarding, role-based training and career development
  • Proactively review and update previously created training materials to ensure they are current and are meeting the needs of employees
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to create training sessions and ensure learning maximum effectiveness of training program
  • Coordinate trainings including and not limited to scheduling conference rooms, having materials prepared, checking technical specs, etc.
  • Contribute to the learning management system (LMS) with videos, courses, and other training tools, and participate in management of the LMS
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership
  • Collaborate with technology leadership for ongoing training needs and feedback on existing programs

What You Need for this Position

  • 18 months to 2 years of training experience is highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly desired
  • Exposure to Technology teams, working in an agile environment, exposure to SDLC a must
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in designing and developing training programs or materials
  • Experience using or administering a Learning Management System (LMS) is desired but not required
  • Must be able to quickly learn and implement new and complex ideas, relay those concepts to others, and apply appropriately
  • Must be able to act independently to achieve needed results
  • Effective and collaborative team player, motivated by a high performance global environment
  • Active learner committed to new practices and technologies to continually improve the participant’s learning experience
