Job Description

This position is responsible for helping Cvent business leaders make better, timely, and insightful business decisions through use of data and analytics. These decisions cross all functions of the business, including sales, marketing, client services, and technology. Cvent is redesigning business processes and investing in technologies to support the collection, analysis, and dissemination of critical business data. While re-designing these business processes, it is critical that data needs are carefully captured throughout the entire project lifecycle.


This is where you come in. We require a data-driven and attention-to-detail individual to accelerate our data collection and reporting capabilities. Your role will be to help us create business critical KPIs using SQL and Tableau. You will liaise with HQ counterparts to understand the business requirement to develop tableau dashboards. You will also be responsible for O&M of existing dashboards ensuring the dashboards are being refreshed in time and troubleshoot if any error occurs. You will also need to do QA/QC and ensure FTR. Ideal candidates will distinguish themselves by providing data analysis and insights to the business.


Candidate Requirement

  • ~ 4 years of experience in SQL and Tableau
  • Ability to write SQL Procedures using complex queries
  • Good data analytical skills
  • QA / QC of daily reports & Tableau dashboard: Analyze & reconcile working data from different sources to identify & root cause variances
  • Follow-up with stake holders for issues identified in data reconciliations
  • Pro-actively perform routine data checks
  • Maintain daily log of errors in SQL Jobs / SQL procedures & Tableau dashboards. Ensure all are refreshed on daily basis
  • Create documentation around for SQL Procs and Tableau dashboards
  • Expert at bringing data from different data sources into the visualization tool e.g. flat files, internet, database connections, etc.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills - working with teams internally and externally with clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with English language
  • Collaborate & be a team player
