Sr. Associate - Planning Operations

This strategic position requires the ability to work on several projects at one time and be data driven & results-oriented. The candidate must be a detailed oriented person with strong time management kills, forward-thinking, and able to creatively solve problems in a constantly changing environment. this person must apply sound judgment in strategy meetings with management when dealing with new initiatives, budget discussions, and company events roadmaps. This position will partner closely with marketing, sales and senior management to ensure every event is handled professionally with flawless execution. In addition, a successful candidate will have experience negotiating with internal and external groups, ability to propose new and creative ideas, highly effective communication skills, and ability to build constructive and effective relationships.

Position Duties:

  • Interact with cross-functional teams for collaboration and to ensure ongoing communication for all trade show initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to provide continual improvement in existing overall trade show strategy processes, driving strong ROI from each show
  • Track and maintain budgets, show lists, booth booking, payment status, exhibitor online listings, priority points and sponsorships
  • Primary liaison with exhibitors and sponsors to ensure ongoing communications are received to assist and ensure a positive show/sponsor experience
  • Own and deliver fulfillment of all sponsorships, which includes but is not limited to sponsor fulfillment outreach, specifications, timelines and implementation
  • Train onsite personnel on how to prepare for and deliver successful results at each show
  • Track trade show results and produce reports and status updates for management
  • Coordinate materials for onsite booth presence
  • Review and maintain a high-quality standard for all customer procedures/communications
  • Interact with tradeshow organizer to maintain and develop existing partnerships, whilst also able to identify new organizations to work with.
  • Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of marketing campaigns

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience, specifically in event/tradeshow management
  • Self-motivation and ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environments with short lead times.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and planning experience is must.
  • High degree of composure and interpersonal skills while in high pressure moments, maintaining a solution driven mindset.
  • Ability to formulate processes necessary to accomplish goals in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Ability to accurately prioritize problems/initiatives in time sensitive situations and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Cvent Event Management Software, Cvent Supplier Network, Concur & Salesforce a plus
  • Able to take a lead role to liaise with partners to develop, deliver & evaluate projects.
  • Have knowledge about marketing campaigns
  • Must be a data driven person with good knowledge of formulating budgets
