The ideal candidate for this role will possess a solid command of all tactical and operational aspects of Human Resources and will be empowered to operate as a true HR advisor across a variety of business units. The successful candidate will also be called upon to act as a subject matter expert in the areas of UK and European employment law and best practices.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Partner with HR team to provide a consistent employee experience for European employees, including leading the employee on-boarding process, employee mobility changes (promotions, transfers, relocations, etc.), performance management process, separation process and record keeping
  • Partner with UK, US, and India based recruiting teams to advise on European recruiting strategy, and build Cvent Europe’s employment brand
  • Manage monthly payroll changes for UK and German employees in coordination with Accounting’s payroll schedule
  • Manage and continually improve benefits in Europe and perks that drive employee retention and engagement
  • Serve as initial point of contact for employee questions in Europe and take responsibility for resolving routine employee relations issues in partnership with US based HR Business Partners and leaders
  • Assist US expats with their relocation and assimilation to the London office and area
  • Write policy guidance and provide expertise on the interpretation and application of UK and EU legislative requirements - research and write similar policies for Germany
  • Coordinate and provide employee training in conjunction with corporate Learning & Development teams
  • Lead communications committee that hosts European All-Hands meetings and disseminates information to employees
  • Participate in headcount analysis and decisions to grow Cvent's European presence
  • Organize monthly employee gatherings with a focus on activities that emphasize team success and Cvent culture
  • Assist with additional international expansion
  • May work with internal as well as external stakeholders on office operation initiatives

What You Need for this Position

  • University degree in HR or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive related work experience in a fast-paced and growth oriented work environment, experience working for a technology company preferred but not required
  • CIPD certification or certification in progress preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR fundamentals and compliance experience with UK and European (Germany and Spain preferred) legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to work well with a team, including experience collaborating with remote teams
  • Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
