We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team!

The Work You’ll Do

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will have to lead a group of Dev Engineers. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the company has the best talent possible for the research, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the product. The person in this position is responsible to achieve this purpose through a good motivation of their supervised, always monitoring and driving their professional growth. The Development Lead must also ensure that people are comfortable in their position, being constantly professionally challenged.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead a group of up to 4 Dev Engineers
  • Inspire the group to apply Best Practices in Software Development
  • Deeply understand and have experience with our SDLC
  • Be the go-to bug killer
  • Conduct timely code reviews, understand what to look for and minimize the amount of time they take and what actions are needed
  • Mentor staff members at all levels of seniority (Junior to Senior)
  • Understand how to deal with interpersonal team member problems
  • Ability to see the whole picture and prioritize accordingly
  • Participate in the hiring process when necessary

 

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field/discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  • Continued education in their given development domain
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience managing his/her own group
  • Can effectively cope with change and manage stressful situations
