We are seeking a Microsoft developer to be part of a highly energetic, rapid development team supporting Global Operations. Candidates must be proficient with Excel VBA/macro development, Microsoft Access as well as MS Office automation in general.  Many projects also involve SQL Server database development and may be built in Visual Studio using .NET.  Our team also contains centers of excellence around Dashboarding and Business Decision Modeling.  Candidates will need to be able to quickly come up to speed on diverse business processes, requirements and help determine the optimal technology solution for each project.

In addition to technical ability, candidates must be analytical, detail-oriented, well-organized and possess strong oral and written communication skills.  Candidates should be comfortable working in a geographically diverse team setting and should possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility, speed, accuracy and creativity are paramount.

The developer will focus on building solutions for the Operations Risk Management (ORM) team. ORM is focused on bringing transparency to the likelihood, severity and location of risks that impact internal Operations process to protect the firm and our clients. The team works to ensure more effective risk management, through building and implementing capabilities that monitor systems, people and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Rapid development of Microsoft-based desktop solutions across multiple platforms (Access, SQL Server, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, C# and/or VB.NET, etc.)
• Provide support and manage enhancement requests
• Actively seek out ways to improve processes, reduce risk, increase productivity and lower costs
• Communicate with Operations and ORM end users, development managers and other stakeholders
