Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience in building applications using Perl and Sybase. 

Specifically : 
- Perl: The candidate should have solid experience writing scripts in Perl 
- Core Java. The candidate should have solid understanding of core Java concepts and Design Patterns.. 
- Testing Framework. The candidate should have a good understanding of principles behind test driven development (TDD) and have hands on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit. 
- Database Skills.  The candidate should be proficient with SQL (Sybase), able to write and analyze complex queries with multi-table joins and aggregate functions.  
- Problem Solving Skills. The candidate should be able to analyze non-trivial interdependencies between systems. Ability to develop effective code in several different languages. 
- Functional Knowledge: Desire to understand business needs and requirements, work with domain specific technologies (e.g. SecDB )

Preferred Qualifications

Perl Scripting experience 
RDBMS experience essential, Sybase  plus 
OO design and implementation experience essential 
Core Java experience essential 
Experience with stored procedure tuning. 
Familiarity with build/deployment tools e.g. Maven SVN 
Programming Languages: 
2+ years Perl 
2+ years OO design/development 
2+ years RDBMS, Sybase preferred
