Job Description

Support of all departments in the Milwaukee Facility. Responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area. Proceeds under general supervision. Possesses good communication skills and is able to work in a team envirnment. Work subject to process and final inspection in accordance with the company's quality management system. May be assigned to work in other departments or perform other duties as instructed by management.

  • Plan, layout and perform required bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed tools, dies, fixtures, cavity mold dies, guages where a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of plastic mold tooling practive and metal tooling practice application is required.
  • Work from complicated drawings, specifications or concepts.
  • Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
  • Lay out work and plan machining and bench procedures.
  • Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups which may involve improvising ot tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range in capacities of available equipment.
  • Sets up and operates a variety of CNC mills, CNC EDM's and related CAD equipment machine tools toperform precision maching operations.
  • Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work.
  • May include responsibility for training an apprentice Tool & Die Maker or other tool room personnel on a project basis.
  • Will also operate related CAD/CAM equipment.
  • Analyzes molded parts to determine tool repair and adjustments required with minimum supervision.

 

Skills & Requirements

High School degree

Journeyman Card

Forklift Certification

Hazmet Training

3-5 years of work related experience

Ability to read, write and speak English

Basic math and computer skills

Able to stand for long periods of time, regularly lift up to 40 lbs and occassionally lift 70 lbs

Able to work while wearing a respirator (maintenance only)

Ability to climb a ladder and rolling ladder/staircase

2nd & 3rd Shift openings (one for each)

 

2nd shift differential (.50 cents per hour) - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

3rd shift differential (.60 cents per hour) - 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
