Job Description

Supervisor assigns production operations to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting customer delivery requirements and quality standarss, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Follows established production schedule, schedule labor and equipment to meet production schedules and quality goals for assigned work center, within direct labor overhead and capital budget allotments.  Schedule production labor to support protype and project runs.

Train employees to ensure a motivated workforce capable of meeting all production goals and quality system procedures and requirements.

Advise management of problems that interfere with production and quality goals, and recommend solutions.

Act as a resouce to assigned work center and to other departments to address and resolve inquiries and problems.

Review daily scrap. Ensure all production documentation/ postings are current and meaningful.

Implement action plans for cost reductions, productivity and quality improvements, etc. report results.

Monitor quality and safety in the manufacturing areas. Correct unsafe acts or conditions.

Review labor/payroll information to ensure employees are paid correctly.

Coordinate with payroll to correct or adjust labor/payroll information.

Organize and maintain departmental suplies and equipment, ordering as needed.

 

Skills & Requirements

2+ years of college and 3-5 years of related experience; or 4 years high school and 6-8 years of related experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SPC charts and graphs, blueprints and procedure manuals. Ability to write and correspond. Ability to communicate effective to other employees in prganization.

Ability tocalculate data such as proportions, percentages and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of algebra

MicroSoft EXCEL, WORD, SAP query functions or similar

Ability to solve practical problems and eal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.

employee may be required to lift up to ten pounds and occassionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

 

Shifts:

C shift - Thurs 2pm-6pm, fri-sun 6am-6pm ($1.35/hr premium paid)

D shift - Thurs 2 am-6am, fri-sun 6pm-6am ($1.85/hr premium paid)
