Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of electronic engineering related to product design for precision instrumentation including analog circuitry and sensory signal conditioning. Work closely with sales and marketing to develop products and define specifications.  Work with project and quality managers to allow for timely delivery and quality while minimizing cost and inventory. 10% travel

Skills & Requirements

  • B.S. Electrical / Electronic Engineering with 5/7 years experience or equivalent
  • Analog circuit design and troubleshooting, DC to 100KHz. Sensor amplification and signal conditioning of millivolt level signals related to frequency, temperature and pressure sensing.
  • Knowledge of proper grounding techniques, sheilding and noise suppression a strong plus
  • Digital circuit design and troubleshooting, Microcontroller/Logic, 10MHz to 150 MHz. Circuitry for high precision period and frequnecy measurements as well as logic for digital I/O and system control.
  • Knowledge of C and Assembly language embedded programming.
  • VHDL or VERILOG experience a strong plus and familiar with JTAG, FLASH programming and bootloaders.
  • Experience with schematic capture, mixed-signal circuit board layout and circuit characterization using EDA and similation tools like Altium or OrCad.
  • Competency with design test and validation methods, using data acquisition and statistical analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with NI LabView and data acquisition hardware a strong plus.
  • Communication and documentation skills required to efectively interface with management, sales associates and customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to define requirements specifications and document test procedures.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word required; MS PowerPoint a plus. FCC/CE certification experience a plus.
  • Experience with serial communications (USB, RS-232/422/485, I2C, SPI) and/or industrial communication protocals (Modbus, CAN) a plus
