The Business Analyst's primary function is to help the organization reach strategic and operational goals by identifying, documenting, articulating, and implementing changes in how the organization works. This position ensures process and data integrity within and across business units and improves customer service, productivity and profitability. This position analyzes business requirements, develops specifications, documents cross functional process flows, plans implementation of changes and assists the organization in a smooth transition to new processes and systems. The Business Analyst preserves IT investment by leveraging abilities of current systems. Configures software applications primarily using SAP, plans and conducts testing, ensures quality control and integration with existing systems and processes. Provides cost estimates for proposed solutions.
This position works closely with functional unit Key Users and technical resources to implement successful business systems. The Business Analyst has excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, subject matter experts, and external consulting. The Business Analyst leads project teams to meet business goals. This position utilizes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems Analysis
Conducts business area needs analysis relative to systems and business processes utilizing interviews, document analysis, process analysis, and knowledge of existing systems and processes. Designs supporting business systems that meet business requirements and global business process standards. Creates and documents functional requirements and system specifications.
Solution Development
Develops business solutions leveraging SAP configuration capabilities. Performs unit and integration testing. Conforms to existing standards, practices and procedures.
Consulting and Support
Advises and trains users on proper and effective use of new and existing systems and processes to accomplish functional needs. Demonstrates proficient understanding of business processes being supported by assigned systems. Responsible for immediate response to production problems. Recommends enhancements based on user input, knowledge and experience.
Planning, Managing and Communicating
Manages cross-functional project teams. Demonstrates coordination and team leadership skills. Supports the organization's project management policy, practice, and methodology. Develops plans including accurate time and cost estimates. Utilizesexcellent organizational and written I verbal communication skills. Manages time effectively to meet plan requirements. Informs team members and stakeholders of project or development status.
Problem Solving
Analyzes and resolves complex problems. Leads cross-functional teams through problem resolution. Researches and recommends alternative actions for problem resolution. Employs problem solving tools such as Kepner-Tregoe to resolve problems individually and in a team setting. Demonstrates ability to problem solve in a time-constrained situation.
