Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specification, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyer systems, and production machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
Essential Functions/Job Requirements:

Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, welds and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment.

Installs change parts on production machinery.

Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.

Adjusts equipment during operation to improve operation.

Cleans, lubricates and adjusts plant equipment to improve efficiency, quality and operation.

Reads blueprints, diagrams and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts required.

Actively seeks to find problems in assigned area and corrects before the problems become critical.

Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics or lubricators at shift change, and informing the supervisor of significant problems.

Possess the ability to deliver timely analysis and repair of all breakdowns in plants using basic troubleshooting skills.
