PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
 

Overall responsibility is the establishment, maintenance and growth of resin distribution sales in your assigned territory.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Devote full-time to the business and affairs of Chase Plastic Services, Inc., and use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you. We expect you to adhere to the Account Manager List of Expectations (attached) as well as meet or exceed any financial and administrative objectives as assigned by your Manager or Chase Plastics Services. These objectives would include but are not limited to:

  • Active use of a process to maximize call frequency at high-potential accounts using concepts such as Call Zones, Account Segmentation, To-Do Lists, and Target Tracking.
  • Communicate and work with suppliers to bring new opportunities and get preferred distributor status.
  • Develop and update technical binder for use in sales calls
  • Ability to work independently and in a self directed manner
  • Develop and track annual sales and trading margin budgets
  • Maintain ChaseNet data base daily

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE / TRAINING / SKILL and/or ABILITY

Possess a Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience in a thermoplastic distribution/molding environment. Minimum of two (2) years of specialty thermoplastic resin sales experience is preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office is required. Mastery of Outlook and its interaction with the CPS Database is required within 3 months of date of hire.  Organizational skills and the ability to perform your responsibilities in a self-directed manner are essential.  Additional skills are required as follows:  

  • Ability to identify, manage and resolve credit situations.
  • Thorough understanding of Profit and Loss Statement, and general knowledge of pro-formas
  • Active use of a process to maximize call frequency at high-potential accounts, using concepts such as Call Zones, Account Segmentation, To-Do Lists, and Target Tracking.
  • Provide complete territory overviews and use strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve growth objective.
  • Demonstrates continued growth and goal attainment from Catalytic Coaching discussions with your manager
  • General Knowledge of CPS product offering, competitive materials and preferred materials for a particular industry or application;
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the company core values. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Individuals will need to sit and operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time. May require walking periodically throughout the day; or reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds as required to file documents or store materials and/or office supplies throughout the work day.  Proper lifting techniques required.  Ability to travel, and at times stay overnight for several days at a time.
