QA analyst

(Aptean official title LEAD QA ANALYST)

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

The Lead QA Analyst will develop and implement software Test Plans for changes implemented in Aptean’s internal business systems. S/he will be responsible for leading a small team of QA engineers. The Lead QA and Reporting Analyst will work closely with the Aptean Business Systems (ABS) Development and Business Analyst teams when developing test plans. Testing will cover all internal business systems and the integration between the systems.Report and analyze faults found.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Testing of user stories (bugs, features) in Business Systems Software.
  2. Analysis of business requirements and providing test estimates.
  3. Identify, analyze, and document any issues found during testing.
  4. Define and adhere to strict testing methodologies.
  5. Identfy QA process improvements to enhance quality of product changes.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Work Experience/ Education

Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience. Typically requires bachelor degree

Knowledge

  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Understanding QA methodology (ISTQB test analyst level)
  • User experience of Business software applications and processes including CRM and financial applications

Skills and Abilities

Ability to write SQL queries

Strong analytical, problem solving, initiative and decision making skills;

strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills;
team player; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
