Job Description

Octo Consulting Group is seeking a Budget/Cost Analyst to join our growing team.  This position supports a major U.S. Army enterprise network transformation program as they deliver capabilities that provide the full spectrum of network and information services for a globally connected Army that offers Soldiers, Commanders and supporting organizations the ability to access, process and act upon information anytime, anywhere across a Joint Information Environment.  The Budget/Cost Analyst will manage various tasks related to installing network equipment at multiple sites and will collaborate regularly with the government Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads in support of the mission.

Working within the Army PEO-EIS I3C2 Team, the candidate will be a critical team member for the rapidly growing organization


Responsibilities broadly include:

  • Experience with providing risk management suppor
  •  Experience with providing management consulting support to Government to senior Government stakeholders.
  • Experience with reviewing contract deliverables for compliance with Government contracts.
  • Experience with tracking and monitoring project documentation.

Skills & Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working in a Government consulting environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • DOD Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and 6+ years experience


  • Active DoD SECRET


  • Fort Belvoir, VA - 
  • 10% travel for program support

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. US citizenship is mandatory, per contract clearance requirements. Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
