Director, Quality and Process Improvement

Job Description

Octo Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Director, Quality and Process Improvement to join our growing team in support of all Octo operations based out of Reston, VA. 

Responsibilities Include:

·        Lead and implement all corporate level process improvement initiatives including but not limited to CMMI, ISO, SAFE.

·        Lead and implement all corporate program governance and program management lifecycle processes.

·        Lead and implement corporate and business unit quality improvement initiatives.

·        Support customer facing QA/QC initiatives

·        Lead program/project management review initiatives.

·        Lead program/project management review initiatives.

·        Complete corporate, divisional and departmental process collaterals and artifacts.

·        Support inter/intra-departmental quality and process initiatives to a clear and successful outcome.


Skills & Requirements

Skills & Requirements

·        15+ years of experience 

·        10+ years of quality and process improvement experience

·        Project Management Professional (PMP) certification REQUIRED 

·        CMMI/SCAMPI trained

·        Government services provider experience preferred

·        CQIA and ITIL V3 certification preferred


·        BS degree – Required

·        MS degree - Preferred


·        Reston VA / Columbia MD

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
