Octo Consulting Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Army CRRD Program Management Office. The candidate will serve as a Systems Engineer/IT SME and will assist in all technical and information/cybersecurity aspects of the program.

Candidate’s responsibilities include:

·       Support the IA/Cybersecurity tasks for the program

·       Responsible for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for the program

·       Develop/execute Cybersecurity Strategies and System Security Plans. 

·       Utilizes the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to develop security control requirements and recommend Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

·       Manage the processing of Security Accreditation Packages. 

·       Provide technical expertise in ensuring system designs and implementation meet DoD/Army SE principles and guidelines

·       Author/create system documentation required for the A&A such as eMASS implementation plan, security control policy, configuration management plan, O&M plan, system administration plan, etc.

·       Review Developer’s technical plans and artifacts such as Systems Engineering Plan, Test and Evaluation Management Plan, DoDAF artifacts, Systems Design Document, system architecture diagrams, etc.

·       Author SE/technical documentation in support of acquisition milestone decisions

 

 

Skills & Requirements

Candidate’s required qualifications include:

·       8-10 years of system engineering and cybersecurity experience with DoD and/or Army

·       Active DoD Secret clearance

·       Ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to leadership for technical design

·       Ability to drive the system through the RMF A&A process from beginning to end

·       Hands-on system administration experience as it relates to IA such as STIGs, vulnerability scans

·       Ability to document and address POA&Ms

·       Knowledgeable with Tableau, Oracle Suite capabilities. Hands-on experience building systems using these capabilities is a plus

·       Ability to build architecture diagrams and author technical documentation

·       Experience with using eMASS for system registration, A&A, and obtaining ATOs

·       Experience with cybersecurity testing

·       Well-versed in NIST 800-53, DoD Acquisition Framework, and Technology Army Regulations such as AR 25-1, AR 25-2

·       Proven experience in implementing and migrating systems in/to an Army data center or DoD (DISA DECC) data center

·       Experience on building or migrating systems to Clouds is a plus

- Knowledge of DoDAF is a plus
