Job Description

Octo Consulting Group is seeking a SharePoint Architect to join our growing team in support of a Federal customer. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly capable SharePoint developer/ implementer and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to gather, document and understand business requirements then translate them into high-quality, enterprise-ready solutions is critical. This position requires experience in all aspects of SharePoint implementations including custom development, site administration, installation and architecture. 

Skills & Requirements

  • SharePoint development (SharePoint 2010 required, SharePoint 2013 preferred)
    • Design, Development, and Deployment of web parts, feature receivers, event receivers, content types, workflows, etc.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT level II or higher certification (GSEC, CompTIA Security +, SCNP or SSCP) 
  • Experience in developing SQL Server databases
  • SharePoint administration and configuration
  • SharePoint architecture design and implementation
  • PowerShell scripting
  • SharePoint Server Object Model
  • Collaborative Application Markup Language (CAML)
  •  C#
  • JavaScript / jQuery
  • SQL (stored procedures)
  • HTML / CSS

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. US citizenship is mandatory, per contract clearance requirements. Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
