Job Description

Octo Consulting Group is seeking an Electronic Records Management Analyst to join our growing team in support a Federal client. This position will support the development of an overarching records and information management governance framework that will help in addressing the agency’s records management compliance needs for managing electronic and email records.  


  • Support the implementation of an agency wide inter business unit records management governance model 
  • Establish the processes and organization structure to ensure best practice Records Management (RM) policies are being implemented effectively
  • Support all client activities associated with maintaining and reporting on electronic and email records management activities in Office 365
  • Support all activities from record scheduling to disposition per the comprehensive records scheduled established for email records 
  • Establish Records Management controls in Office 365 for eDiscovery and email management 
  • Support client meetings that require technical input for managing electronic records and emails 

Skills & Requirements

  • 5 + years of experience in records management
  • Experience in records management with strengths ability to identify gaps in RM practices
  • Ability to work with the RM staff to and system owners to create an inventory of business records that will require RM lifecycle action
  • Ability to work in an integrated team environment
  • Possess significant technical writing skills


  • Master Preferred, Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Business, or related field of study.

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
