Job Description

Octo Consulting Group is seeking an Acquisition Analyst I to provide support throughout the acquisition process lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Support acquisition lifecycle support to include acquisition strategy and planning phases as well as post-award phases
  • Conduct requirements gathering, pre-award document drafting, acquisition and finance activities
  • Analyze finance and acquisition data to develop detailed contract status reports provide recommendations to enhance the value of the contract status reports
  • conduct requirements gathering, acquisition planning, and acquisition document development
  • Ensure that all documentation is compliant with federal legislation (the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FITARA, etc.) and agency specific policies
  • Provide acquisition strategic planning and strategic sourcing support
  • Identify best practices with the acquisition community to develop and perform internal controls

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 8 years of post-collegiate professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience Federal acquisitions
  • Acquisition Certifications Required (DAWAII or FAC-C)
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Personal communication style that encourages teamwork when engaging stakeholders with a myriad of agendas, requirements, and constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking, listening)
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established quality standards
  • Expert knowledge and use of the MS Office suite (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project; Visio) to prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentations

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required

Other Considerations: Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
