Job Summary

 

This position provides administrative support for the Legal organization performing a variety of legal, technical, and administrative functions.  The role is responsible for administrative support of the legal department, legal requests process, contracts processing and administration and legal operations. The Legal assistant will also exhibit a high level of professionalism and understand the importance of confidentiality.  Flexibility is ideal for this role as priorities change and shift continually and the position necessitates resiliency to that end.

Skills & Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•         Maintains, organizes and updates the Legal Department’s record keeping systems

•         Manage the legal request SalesForce ticketing system  by assigning and tracking legal tickets

•         Handles administration of contracts, including maintnance of templates in coordination with the attorneys and use of the contracts management system *currently SAI360 and SalesForce)

•         Assist with migration of contract management systems

•         Responds to basic inquiries regarding contract obligations

•         Requires thorough understanding of legal contract strucures and basic understanding of legal contract terms

•         Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside parties and assists in responding to internal requests for assistance made to the Legal Department

Education

•         High school diploma required 

Minimum Qualifications

•         3+ years of relevant legal assistant experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting

Skills/Knowledge

•         Excellent technology skills and high proficiency with all Microsoft Windows applications

•         Proficient with legal terms and procedures

•         Ability to write clearly and accurately

•         Experience with or ability to learn and maximize the use of other available technology, including contract management and electronic billing systems

•         Strong working knowledge of contracts

•         Excellent attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

•         Ability to maintain confidential and secured information
