The Manager, District Sales provides oversight, coaching, and management to a team of 5-7 Sales Consultants toward closing new business within Greenway’s existing customer base, driving the team to meet/ exceed individual and team quotas and cultivating an environment of accountability. This role has a defined geographic territory. This role ensures the team is educated and has the necessary tools to sell across all Greenway product lines. The Manager, District Sales mentors their team and assists Sales Consultants with uncovering and closing revenue-generating deals. In addition, knowing and understanding the team pipeline, monitoring deals, and getting involved with negotiating directly with the Sales Consultant as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Will be very familiar with the Greenway Sales Process to ensure the team is following standard procedures that will result in revenue generation
  • Provides guidance and support to the team in navigating the organization as well as the industry
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts and assisting Sales Consultants with contract negotiations and final close
  • Develops and executes revenue-generating business plans for assigned territory and drives sales of Greenway products, and ensures records are well maintained for all sales contacts and activities within the territory
  • Works closely with new team members to ensure training and understanding of products, services, and how to sell and differentiate Greenway in the market as well as understanding and developing the next steps in the career pathing
  • Partners closely across the organization with Legal, Implementation, Client Support, and other teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and ease of customer transition
  • Maintains a deep knowledge and understanding of the industry and Greenway products and service offerings
  • Construct, execute, and report on Focused Sales Campaign initiatives
  • Successfully navigate and overcome internal processes/functions to expedite sales-related agenda items
  • Client Facing when appropriate regarding furthering the sales process or driving positive results for customer escalations
  • Participation in Interdepartmental Committees that may or may not be directly related to sales

 

Skills & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health IT, or related field or equivalent work  
  • Three (3)+ years of sales experience or experience in healthcare with an aptitude toward sales and results
  • Previous management experience is preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Solid management and leadership abilities required
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills required to manage entry-level sales talent
  • In-depth knowledge of key technology and healthcare concepts required to sell complex software solutions
  • Solid understanding of physician office workflow
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with, negotiate with and persuade physicians and Practice Administrators
  • Knowledge of and an interest in current healthcare business challenges, products, and sales practices
  • Strict adherence to Data Integrity and Defect Dashboard Reports
  • Establish strong internal resource relationships
  • High level of patience and professionalism in the face of adversity
  • Ability to navigate and deliver difficult messaging
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer service skills with high level of professionalism
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Able to manage a variety of tasks concurrently

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for most of the workday
  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard for most of their workday
  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for extended periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to clients and other associates
  • Up to 75% of travel required
