In an effort to advance our ability to compete and win by bringing world class media expertise to deliver brand communications that promote a superior customer experience and drive business results, the Sr/Manager, Search Engine Marketing will be responsible for managing all SEO and SEM activities for both consumer and professional target segments for the Diabetes and Cardiovascular US Business Unit. The applicant will ensure SEO/SEM strategies deliver upon brand marketing objectives.  This role will look across multiple search campaigns to drive efficiencies and maximize business results. This position is part of a larger Channel team within the Marketing Effectiveness Team and will work closely with the multi-channel experience teams.
Role Responsibilities:  Primary responsibilities will include the following across both SEM and SEO:
  • Develop search strategy that aligns to brands/multi-brand strategic objectives
  • Lead and manage search planning and buying process across our client's brands in the US, across multiple target audience and within a multi-channel marketing plan
  • Lead development of keyword business rules
  • Lead and manage search agency teams
  • Lead and manage search reporting/analytics that is fed into a centralized digital reporting platform, to provide insights, implications and recommendations to optimize both SEO and SEM campaign.
  • Align with key stakeholders in the development of annual brand plans and search budget recommendations.
  • Lead agency in development of competitive search assessments

·         Execute test and learn plans within search, analyze data and identify trends and insights

·         Manage campaign expenses and search budgets

·         Optimize ad copy and landing pages

·         Develop and implement best practice SEO strategy and ensure adoption with digital agencies and website developers

·         Oversee and critique agency search proposals, include new technology platforms and other search best practices

·         Establish and share search best practices and benchmarks across brands; highlight opportunities to test, learn and optimize/evolve based on knowledge and understanding of patient insights, competitive search initiatives, new pilots and/or offerings for search

·         Manage performance of search programs in partnership with agency and ensure plans/buys and content are optimized as needed

Skills & Requirements

   

  •  5-10yrs+ experience in search both SEO and SEM

 

  • The candidate must have a deep understanding of search both SEO and SEM and proven experience managing complex search campaigns.

 

  • Must have experience managing paid search campaigns within Google and Yahoo/Bing

 

  • Must have experience managing large search budgets in a highly competitive environment.

 

  • Have experience at a search agency or have experience managing a search agency

 

  • Extensive experience with website and search analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEM Rush, Similar Web etc…

 

  • Experience with bid management tools such as Search Ignite, Kenshoo, etc….
