Director of Marketing Analytics (KOP, PA)

The Encima Group is seeking a highly talented Director of Marketing Analytics to serve our clients in the greater Princeton area.  In this role the Director of Marketing Analytics will serve as the primary point of contact between our clients and stakeholders managing and enhancing our client’s measurement and analytics approach while guiding internal stakeholders as a thought leader.

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-channel marketing strategies and roadmaps which leverage customer insight, coupled with best practices to optimize value at the brand level with an emphasis on digital.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide leadership and execution of multi-channel marketing strategies addressing segmentation, online and offline media, messaging, media deployment, tracking and analysis
  • Manage full analytic life-cycle including data requirements, KPI definition, Measurement Planning, Reporting and Analysis Cadence / Design / Delivery, and Insights and Recommendations
  • Thought leadership activities including development of best practices, case studies and internal training materials
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to provide leadership and lay out the tactical plan while having the ability to maintain focus on client strategic imperatives
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to assure client satisfaction and achievement of expectations
  • Manage multiple projects and internal/external stakeholder objectives as well as direct and/or dotted line resource management responsibilities
  • Core database marketing knowledge including understanding of third-party marketing data sources, use of transactional client business data, relational database concepts, and direct marketing and CRM concepts
  • Analytical competencies such as ability to formulate an analytical problem; QC data and results; summarize key findings/insights; compelling visual representation of analyses; make actionable recommendations. 
  • Leveraging a data analysis or data mining tool to explore data, create visualizations, and draw insights -- answering both general and well defined business questions with data
  • Effectively present results, findings and recommendations to both internal and external teams via regular and ad hoc reports and analyses
  • Establish solid, working relationship with stakeholders and become a trustworthy partner with respect to analysis, reporting, and business needs
  • Developing an analytics strategy across multiple marketing and response channels
  • Understand the business applications/market place and provide constant, clear communication of objectives, status, and measurement plans
  • Project plan development and management of day-to-day analytic tasks / projects and resources
  • High quality, on-time delivery of analytic projects and solutions 
  • Development of new and innovative analytical solutions to solve challenging business problems that contribute to innovation, process improvement, and standardization
  • Ensures timely delivery of data, analytics and strategic consulting to support the client’s strategic objectives.
  • Engage with clients to gather project specifications and management of expectations
  • Management and oversight for resources and delivery of the Analytics solutions.  This includes managing, retaining, and developing top analysts 
  • Formulate and execute industry-best-practice
  • Anticipation of project risk and constraints and the ability to proactively work on solutions to address the risk or constraints
  • Ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple, complex data sources with a high degree of accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team including client service and operations support team(s)

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or a four-year degree (with a business focus such as Statistics, Economics, Finance or Marketing)
  • AT LEAST 3 YEARS IN PHARMACEUTICAL
  • 5-7 years of experience providing strategic guidance in analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Comfort and understanding of statistical analysis including, but not limited to Regression, A/B Testing, Campaign Optimization, and Cluster Analysis
  • Take pride in being an active listener, proactively addressing needs and quickly responding to questions and concerns
  • Proactively look out for new tools and technologies enabling better support
  • Knowledge of and experience with the following tools/platforms preferred:
    • Programming: SAS, SQL, VBA, Excel (Power User)
    • Digital: Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, CoreMetrics, or other digital tools
    • BI: Tableau, Cognos, or other BI tools
  • Knowledge of and experience with the following marketing tactics and associated KPIs:
    • Digital Media: SEM, SEO, Display, CPA, etc.
    • Offline Media: TV, Print, In-Office, etc.
    • CRM: Direct Mail, Email, Telemarketing, etc.
    • Other specialty tactics as appropriate related to consumer, HCP, and/or payer marketing efforts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational/time management skills
