Job Description

Due to anticipated organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare is hiring Registered Nurses for potential new part-time Nurse Assessor positions.

This is a key role with a statewide program which will help a significant number of children, youth, and families receive necessary long term services and supports so they may live as independently as possible in the community.

This goals of this program include:

  • Providing Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES training and technical assistance
  • Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) processes
  • Medical or Level of Care (LOC) eligibility assessment and appeals for Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS)
  • Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) and Inventory for Client and Agency (ICAP) assessments

As an Assessor with Liberty Healthcare, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on an as needed basis
  • Travelling to client locations throughout the region
  • Meeting in-person with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing mental illness or living with a physical disability or intellectual and developmental disability
  • Administering Level of Care and Katie Beckett assessments
  • Documenting and writing reports

This role is limited to administering assessments and does not involve providing nursing care to people.

As a part-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect a flexible schedule, competitive hourly compensation, and reimbursement for work-related mileage and travel expenses.  A laptop, mobile phone, and other office equipment will be provided.

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you possess the following:

  • Professional licensure in Tennessee as a Registered Nurse
  • Pediatric nursing experience
  • Experience providing nursing care to people who are living physical disabilities, mental illness, and intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Computer skills
  • Tennessee residency and willingness to travel throughout the region

Familiarity or experience with Level of Care and/or Katie Beckett assessments is helpful but not required.
