Due to organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare is hiring for a new full-time Forensic Psychologist position.

This position will be a key contributor with Liberty’s forensic mental health program at the Robert Presley Detention Center – a Riverside County jail located in Riverside, CA.

Liberty’s program provides timely and comprehensive mental health care and restoration services to adults who are found to be incompetent to stand trial under California Penal Code 1370.

As a Forensic Psychologist with Liberty, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting mental status examinations and formulating diagnoses
  • Evaluating patients for competency to stand trial
  • Writing comprehensive reports
  • Occasionally providing court testimony
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, mental health clinicians and ancillary professionals
  • Actively participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning
  • Performing risk assessments and crisis management assistance

This is a hybrid position which will allow you to primarily work remotely from your home office and also require you to meet with patients in-person onsite at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, CA.

You have the option to work a compressed four-day workweek or a traditional five-day workweek.  

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • Starting pay between $110,000 and $135,000 (depending on qualifications)

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychologist and have training and/or experience evaluating and treating adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.
