The Senior Radio Frequency Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design and enhancement of DAS wireless telecommunications networks.  Responsibilities include initial system design,  quoting, and preparation of close out packages. RF Engineer will interface with Project Mangers and Construction Managers. The RF Engineer will answer technical questions as well as day to day operational questions as well as assist in commissioning of DAS systems.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform site walk evaluation.
  • Collect walk test data and post-process.
  • Design DAS system using standard accepted practices.
  • Generate RF engineering  related reports as required
  • Help to define processes and procedures for RF engineering tasks
  • Communicate RF milestones and deliverables to project management and implement plans to accomplish the milestones within budget, as required.
  • Interface with Construction Managers to facilitate project implementation.
  • Assist in commissioning of DAS systems

Skills & Requirements

Minimum of five(5) years of RF experience; previous DAS experience a plus 

Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications 
Proficient in set-up, calibration, and data processing of various design equipment and software. 
Knowledge of iBWAVE and Pathloss 
Good knowledge of system topology for CDMA and TDMA, network technologies
Excellent knowledge of the main equipment vendors such as Andrews, MobileAccess, Tyco, etc.
Nortel/Nokia GSM/TDMA/CDMA/UMTS Wireless Network Optimization Certification a plus 
 
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 
Minimum of five (5) years of RF experience 
Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications 
 
PRESENTATION SKILLS 
Ability to make oral group presentations to influence others to accept a specific opinion, action, etc.; to provide information or explain procedures, policies, etc.
 
COMPUTER SKILLS 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of MS Office Suite. Possessing the ability to prepare business correspondence and reports, also basic knowledge of chart, graph and table formatting.
