Wargaming is seeking an Environment/Level Artist. This individual will be focused on bringing our game environments to life with the high-resolution modeling, texturing and layout of game levels. Candidates should demonstrate strong visual and game play sensibilities along with examples of how they’ve implemented these ideas in levels they’ve built for shipped products. Experience creating levels for 1st person combat games is preferrable but not required.

 

Your Focus:

  • Working with Art Director, Concept Artists and Designers to establish the overall look for a level
  • Accurately translate 2d concepts into 3d  
  • High resolution modeling, texturing, and advanced shader creation 
  • Taking art direction, and effectively leveraging art tools & technologies 
  • Lighting scene areas based on strong fundamentals, color and contrast   
  • Working in tandem with designers to ensure strongest play experience possible.

 

What YOU Need to Succeed:

  • Three to five years experience with modeling tools (MAX preferred)
  • Must be passionate about making games
  • Must have demonstrated ability to design and build professional quality 3d game levels
  • Three or more years experience in the game industry - must have shipped art assets in console titles
  • Must be able to meet schedules and artistic guidelines on time in a professional environment
  • Detail oriented with the ability to communicate clearly
