We have an exciting opportunity for a Tools Software Engineer to join our engineering team.  This individual will regularly engage and communicate with a variety of developers including artists, designers, programmer and producers to understand workflow and feature needs to produce the most effective tools to maximize productivity. We create games with fast-paced action and cutting-edge technology.  Specific duties will vary depending on the skill-set of the successful applicant.

Your Focus:

  • Analyze content creators’ workflow and develop tools to improve iteration time.
  • Help make our existing art and design tools more usable and elegant.
  • Profile and optimize tool performance issues.
  • Fix bugs in the tool suite.
  • Work with QA team to ensure automated test coverage of tool features.
  • Evangelize tools with how-to documentation and instructional videos.

What YOU Need to Succeed:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of C++ and STL.
  • Fluency in C#.
  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Mastery of MFC and Win32 tools development.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • An uncompromising passion for quality.

Pluses:

  • Experience in Python, LUA.
  • Experience creating plugins for Maya, Photoshop, and Flash.
  • Experience in Flex, WPF.
