Job Description

Position Purpose:

This position supports the surgical procedures, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education within a territory.  In certain instances this person may be engaged in basic market development activities depending upon the needs of the assigned territory. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents company during surgeries by providing all necessary equipment and products required for the surgery, demonstrates expertise in all aspects of surgery, follow-up support and troubleshooting techniques (such as proper device selection, correct implantation of device systems).
  • Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products.
  • This position educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to company products.  
  • Provides sales support during or following cases such as completing the necessary documentation.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers and other employees.
  • Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.  Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.

 

Skills & Requirements

Physical Requirements Needed to Perform Position Functions:

  • Continuous verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse.
  • Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 50% of time)
  • Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level.
  • Ability to sit/stand 8 hours per day.
  • Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance.

Preferred Qualifications to Perform Position Function:

  • Bachelor's degree in health care related field
  • Registered nurse
  • Clinical experience with implantable products
  • Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use
  • Experience with a medical device company, and clinical experience in a specialty area: Urology, operating room.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals.
  • Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
