As a Payroll Specialist at Advicent, you will be responsible for various operational accounting tasks including payroll processing and other general ledger activities.

What you’re accountable for

  • Preparation and submission of payroll for all North American employees.
  • Create employment change letters.
  • Manage the ADP Payroll system with new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Verify new hire paperwork.
  • Answer payroll/benefit related questions for all employees.
  • Work hand-in-hand with HR Director to assist with employee relations related to payroll.
  • Assist with 401k Audit.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end accounting information.
  • Cash receipts, including credit card and ACH funds.
  • Assist with projects related to improving effectiveness of CRM system.
  • Preparation of monthly accounting reports and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for periodic audits.

What skills are required

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance or 5+ years of experience in payroll
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Above average technical skills in Excel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and motivated to perform the job accurately and timely
  • Ability to work a schedule of 32 hours/week

  • Experience with ADP
