Our mission is to enable everyone to understand and impact their financial future.</p> <p> As a User Experience Designer at Advicent, you will work with our UX and agile product teams to design polished user interfaces for new and existing web applications such as: &nbsp;financial planning applications, dashboards, customer portals, reporting, visualization of big data analytics, workflows and more.</p>

What you’re accountable for

<ul> <li> Take direction from a collaborate with project teams (including product directors, business analysts, engineers and other stakeholders) to understand business and user needs, help refine requirements, and rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions.</li> <li> Quickly product sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to aid in gathering internal and external feedback as well as in driving development forward.</li> <li> Utilize UX techniques such as mental models, task analysis, journey maps and story boards to understand and describe user behaviors.</li> <li> Build empathy and inform design decisions through participation in UX research activities such as user interviews and surveys, persona creation, usability testing, and accessibility analysis.</li> <li> Communicate design recommendations effectively through presentations, prototypes, and/or other deliverables, and proactively seek out and incorporate feedback on design solutions.</li> </ul>

What skills are required

<ul> <li> Associate&#39;s or Bachelor&#39;s degree in a design-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li> 2+ years of experience in web/product design or related field</li> <li> Familiarity with User Center Design processes and Agile development methodologies</li> <li> Experience designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications</li> <li> Proficient in prototyping and design tools such as Balsamiq, InVision, Photoshop and Illustrator</li> <li> Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and an understanding of JavaScript and AJAX</li> </ul>
