<p> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Pier Sixty LLC, is a division of Abigail Kirsch, a preeminent caterer with over 30 years experience in the NY, NJ and CT region. Known for its outstanding cuisine and event management, executing weddings, corporate events, galas and social functions with superb food, impeccable service and unmistakable flair, Pier Sixty is located at Chelsea Piers in NYC and can accommodate up to 2,400 guests .<br /> <br /> The Concierge is the first impression that guests receive of our Company. This individual is responsible for greeting guests and acting as a liason between them and the sales and banquet departments.</span></p> <p> <span style="font-size:10.0pt"><strong>Specific responsibilities include the following: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Greet guests</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Answer phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate extensions</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Create, print and laminate signs for event banquet managers (as needed)</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Assist with distribution of weekly paychecks for concierge, coatcheck and waitstaff</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">Log and store Lost and Found items after events</span></span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Messenger envelopes and packages to clients, receive and distribute all Fedex, UPS, Air Borne Express and messengered envelopes to each department / associate</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Log in waitstaff jackets to and from dry cleaners</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Maintain an orderly, up-to-date Concierge Front Desk Book</span></li> </ul>

Skills & Requirements

<ul> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong customer services skills are required; prior experience in the hospitality industry is helpful.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Excellent communication skills both on the phone and in person are required.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong organizational skills; the ability to multitask when needed is required.</span></li> </ul> <p> <br /> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">We are an EOE Employer </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size:10.0pt">Please do not submit photos with your application or resume.</span></p>
