Job Description

<p> Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li> Prepare caf&eacute; in anticipation of day&rsquo;s business including stocking of work areas.</li> <li> Maintain cleanliness of work area.</li> <li> Maintain par and inventory levels of supplies including food, beverage and equipment.</li> <li> Insure quality of food and beverage being ordered stocked and sold with Food and Beverage Manager and staff.</li> <li> Handle cash and maintain cash and bank control procedures.</li> <li> Insure work areas are free from trash and maintained</li> <li> Take food and beverage orders and deliver product to customers</li> <li> Insure quality of food and beverage being ordered, stocked and sold with Caf&eacute; Manager</li> <li> Insure seating area is maintained and communicate maintenance needs accordingly.</li> <li> Handle customer complaints and resolve situations.</li> <li> Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues.</li> <li> Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.</li> <li> Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.</li> <li> Follow proper time keeping policies and procedures</li> <li> Follow the sign in and out procedure for keys.</li> </ul> <p> &nbsp;</p>

Skills & Requirements

<ul> <li> Minimum one year counter / caf&eacute; experience with customer contact.</li> <li> Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School or any other combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.</li> <li> NYC Food Handlers Certification preferred</li> <li> Ability to operate a POS system</li> <li> Ability to work in stressful, high- pressure situations.</li> <li> Ability to effectively problem solve including anticipating, preventing, identifying problems.</li> <li> Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.</li> <li> Knowledge of quality service standards and applicable laws.</li> <li> Knowledge of food and beverage operations and operation of equipment.</li> <li> Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients and vendors if necessary.</li> <li> Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.</li> <li> Exemplary customer service skills with a great attitude.</li> <li> The ability to lift and move 15 lbs and various items successfully.</li> </ul>
