Job Description

Ensure that all deliveries are accurate as regards to quantity, quality, and specifications as ordered.  A storing of product in proper storage areas in an organized fashion. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receiving of all deliveries that come in to property, ensuring that deliveries are accurate as to what was actually ordered, quality of product received is up to company standards, and ensure that weights and quantities are accurate.
  • Proper storage of all delivered items in their respective areas. 
  • Maintain storage areas, receiving area, loading dock, and refrigerators in an orderly and clean fashion.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with daily inventories.
  • Assist Purchasing manager w/ period end inventories.
  • Completion of daily receiving logs with proper entries and corrections noted.
  • Instruct and direct assistant receiver in their daily duties
  • Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow proper time keeping policies and procedures
  • Follow the sign in and out procedure for keys.
  • Know and follow all Abigail Kirsch/ Pier 60 emergency and safety procedures.
  • Perform and complete all reasonable assignments as requested by management.

Skills & Requirements

  • High School degree preferred
  • 2+ years prior receiving experience.
  • Prior hotel/hospitality receiving experience preferred.
  • Must read and write in English
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions accurately.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry 100 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate work related information to co-workers, supervisors, vendors and clients.
  • Able to work flexible work schedule in order to accommodate business levels.
