Develop firmware and circuitry for 8-bit microcontrollers used in digital panel meter instrumentation.  Must have a working knowledge of mixed-signal circuit theory, including amplifiers, A/D and D/A converters, microcontrollers, and LED/LCD display technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Engineering and Marketing Manager in all phases of new-product research, product feature definition, circuit design, proof of concept, and product ergonomics.
• Write firmware in standard C language using Atmel AVR Studio tools. This is to support our growing portfolio of  microcontroller-based digital panel meters.
• Develop and design mixed-signal electronic circuitry used in digital panel instruments.
• Interface with Design Services, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams with regards to product documentation, Engineering Change Orders, new-component structuring and evaluation.
• Design test fixtures for new panel meter products and coordinate the fabrication process of these test fixtures.
• Create test procedures for new products and implement updates to existing fixtures and procedures.
• Perform test-engineering tasks and experiments as necessary.
• Assist in the transfer of new products to Asian contract manufacturer by providing technical support and training as necessary.
• Play a key role in identifying and implementing cost-reduction programs for existing products.
