POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Senior Netweaver Engineer / Java – is responsible for working together with the SAP Basis Lead managing and performing day to day operations during the implementation of the SAP landscape. Responsible for assisting the SAP Basis Lead during the design and implementation of SAP ABAP and JAVA environments.  Responsible for design and implementation of SAP policies and procedures related to the SAP ABAP and JAVA. 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in driving the design, implementation, and documentation of the SAP Landscape which includes the Enterprise Core, CRM, Business Warehouse, and Portals.
2. Administer the SAP Landscape including client/instance setup and periodic environment refreshes (sandbox, dev, QA, etc)
3. Define standards, guidelines, and security policies for the SAP environments. Design and develop operating procedures for the SAP environment and transition these procedures to the operations team.
4. Provide general technical support of the SAP process/configuration and development teams
5. Performing ongoing middleware and BASIS setup and configuration as needed.
6. Coordinate SAP system performance and capacity planning
7. Perform tasks to ensure optimal SAP system performance including application monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning thru CCMS tools
8. Develop SAP promote to production strategy and procedures
9. Manage SAP job schedule design (based on input from process and config teams), implementation, and monitoring
10. Provide Senior Level technical expertise for the SAP team. Mentor and train junior team members in SAP ABAP and Java functionality

QUALIFICATIONS:

§         Bachelors Degree in the IT field or a related field. Relevant experience can be substituted.

§         Minimum 4+ years of SAP Java Technology experience including Implementation and Support.

§         Has been involved in various full cycle SAP implementations

§         Knowledge of the following SAP Technologies:

o        ABAP

o        Netweaver 2004s

o        XI/PI

o        BW/BI

o        Solution Manager

§         Minimum 8 years of Windows OS.

§         Broad knowledge and understanding of IT and IT related policies and procedures.

§         Strong communications skills including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal.

§         Experience in a large scale Corporate/Enterprise environments.
