Bottled water sales have grown from a 2 million dollar industry in the 1970’s to an over 15 billion dollar industry today. Trends indicate that bottled water sales will soon pass carbonated soda sales. Imported FIJI Water has out-paced the industry in percentage sales growth. FIJI Water first arrived in 1997 and finished that first full year as #70 in imported bottled water sales. FIJI Water today is #1 in the Premium Bottled Water US market.  We are looking for a qualified candidate to continue our growth and success in the San Antonio and Austin, Texas area.

FIJI Water, bottled at source in Viti Levu (Fiji Islands), is the second largest imported water brand in the United States.  The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and operates a state of the art bottling facility in the Fiji Islands.  Yes, FIJI Water does come from Fiji!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to cover the San Antonio and Austin, TX markets. A TSM works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on conducting promotional activities, building strong relationships with all accounts, executing tactics and overall business maintenance within the account base.  We are looking to identify individuals who will be able to properly represent and assist in the successful distribution of our world renowned imported water.

Motivates and influences to gain buy-in from assigned distributors. Develops a targeted monthly volume and distribution plan to achieve overall FIJI Water objectives by region/route.  80% focus on Market/Distributor Field Activities; 10% focus on Strategic Planning; 10% focus on Headquarter Interface.

  • Develops and maintains strong customer relationships at all levels to maximize FIJI Water opportunities, expanding distribution and execution throughout the account.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and executing sales presentations to secure sales and distribution in local market accounts.
  • Develops a plan to maximize execution on a program by program basis in all channels of trade.
  • Secures and expands distribution in assigned trade channels by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts both independently and with distributor personnel.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of programs and in guiding distributor organization to achieve sales objectives.
  • Reviewing monthly distributor depletion reports to identify opportunities, under performing accounts or potential loss of distribution within the account. 
  • Coaches, trains and motivates distributor personnel to achieve monthly and annual sales, distribution and revenue objectives through scheduled and unscheduled meetings, route rides, trade surveys and monthly reports.
  • Participates in Special Events to include working nights and weekends when necessary. 
  • Participates in out of market crew drives as necessary, scheduled by Region Vice President. 
  • Ensures distributor stocks an ample supply of all SKU’s to cover monthly/weekly sales objectives. Schedules and influences containers as needed by analyzing trends and actual sales. 
  • Manages use of POS, wearables and all other resources to achieve objective within budget. 
  • Controls costs and looks for opportunities to increase overall revenue on a per case basis. Inspects all billbacks for accuracy and forwards approved original invoices with back up to Region Vice President in a timely manner.

    Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1 - 2 years of work experience. Prior food/beverage/sales experience is definitely a plus.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Driven for results and able to handle complexity and change.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
