Opportunity Highlights:

  • As a User Experience Researcher II, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly learning products.
  • Become a user-centric voice the UX Team’s insights-driven culture, where researchers play a key role in leading and inspiring teams to create future iterations of or next-generation product Percipio.
  • Work with engineers, product managers, designers and other researchers (both qualitative and quantitative) to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Work with product teams to identify metrics for user experience, and track impact of product changes on these metrics.
  • Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior by leading usability testing and customer discovery studies (both in-person and remote), surveys, field studies, experiments, etc.
  • Synthesize findings, recommendations, and create detailed reports based on user research.
  • Help drive change by evangelizing research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations. This may include creating highlight videos/screenshots.
  • Use research findings to help Skillsoft better decisions about what to work on, how to prioritize features, and how to become a listening organization.
  • Help establish the UX research practice within Skillsoft by mentoring and educating designers, product colleagues, and others.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other field emphasizing human behavior
  • At least 3 years’ experience in conducting user research in a product environment
  • Detail oriented, with experience planning, executing, and analyzing qualitative research project
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills; can communicate complex research concisely and effectively to product stakeholders
  • Can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects
  • Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
  • Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred
