Make a meaningful impact as a Concession Supervisors at Union Square Events!

Founded by CEO Danny Meyer with the opening of Union Square Cafe in 1985, Union Square Hospitality Group has created some of New York’s most beloved restaurants, cafes, and bars such as Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, The Modern, Marta and Porchlight to name a few!


Concession Supervisors are seasonal, high-volume hourly food service positions and our ideal candidates are not only enthusiastic, but highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage. You will work with the Union Square Sports & Entertainment team at Nationals Ballpark, home of the Washington Nationals.

Concessions include: Shake Shack, Blue Smoke on the Road, El Verano Taqueria and Box Frites

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the setup & maintenance of daily buffet items and all daily catering food services at B&I account
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the FOH (Front of house) food service area & BOH (Back of house) prep & area with support.
  • Required to assist customers in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Assist during service any foodservice area in need of replenishing supplies.
  • May be required to organize and replenish beverage and other Conference Catering Goods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, bend, wipe, lift, push and pull.
  • Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers.
  • Must adhere to all safety and Company Policies.
  • Limited porter responsibilities throughout the day.

  • 1+ years previous management or supervisory experience
  • Cash handling experience required, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of concession-style food, service and beverage programs
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of DOH policies and practices
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days, nights and weekends
  • Ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects ranging from 10 - 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation
