Make a meaningful impact as the Assistant General Manager of Manhatta!


Collaborating with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and Chef de Cuisine, the Assistant General Manager will lead the entire team to manage all facets of the FOH and operations of the restaurant.  The AGM will continue to build a better brand with the best management and staff by constantly improving our service. The AGM will focus on our partners and guests while providing unparalleled hospitality. This position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality, service and business acumen.  The AGM actively embodies, inspires and teaches skills that will elevate the core values of USHG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with GM to establish and achieve clear profitability and performance goals and metrics
  • Work with the FOH managers to grow the business while strengthening the brand and culture
  • Continuously recruit strong candidates for all positions. Grow Dining Room teams through empowerment and development
  •  Ensure that the restaurant continuously delivers unparalleled hospitality and excellence to its guests.  Actively embody, inspire and teach the tenets of Enlightened Hospitality to all

  • 2 + years of restaurant management experience
  • Excellent understanding of USHG culture/philosophy
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/oral/listening)
  • Excellent dining room and facilities operations knowledge
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, specifically in beer, wine and spirits
  • Multi-tasking
  • Problem solving & delegation
  • Initiative & follow through
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Understanding of restaurant POS systems

Ideally you also have:

  • 2 + years of experience in fine dining, high volume sales preferred
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Hospitality-related field or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job
