Union Square Events is seeking a

Warehouse Manager!

The Warehouse Manager ensures safe, accurate and efficient storage of all USE property and goods. This position oversees and assists with the inventory of all supplies being delivered to and from 640 West 28th street and works with the Warehouse teamto ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all business locations. This position may also assist as a Steward or Receiver, if necessary, as well as assist the operations and events department with various projects. The Warehouse Manager must exemplify Enlightened Hospitality in all interactions with our staff, guests, vendors and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy, quality and continuity of our day-to-day operations by maintaining essential operating systems.
  • Provide the Catering Sales team with daily operational support.
  • Improve the operation of the USE physical plant by implementing efficiencies and cost saving measures with the goal of saving capital, minimizing down time and reducing operating expenses.
  •  Provide all USE Operated Venues with daily operational support.
  •  Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  •  Continuously build a high performance team.

Other Qualifications

Technical:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, CaterXpert,IMS Softwareand FileMaker

 

Language:

English

Spanish preferred, but not required

 

Experience:

3 years ofinventory, purchasing, warehouse experience

Certifications:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

CDL Driver’s License preferred, but not required

Valid Driver’s License from state of issue

 

Work Environment:

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the facility.

Requires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Must be able to tolerate varying levels of stress, temperature, illumination, air quality and fatigue.

Heavy customer contact required.

Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle

Ability to lift 40lbs comfortably
