Job Description

Union Square Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef for a private luxury residential property, for which it will be managing food and beverage operations. Areas of oversight will include a Restaurant, Bar, In-Room Service and Catering, Private Dining, and other amenity F&B service areas.

The Executive Chef will be responsible for all BOH operations.  This position actively embodies, inspires, & elevates USHG’s Family Values of Hospitality, Excellence, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Integrity.       

Skills & Requirements

  • Able to successfully manage a team and execute a seasonally driven menu consistently                                                                                                                                          
  • Experience with high level cuisine, sourcing high quality ingredients, and working with high profile talent                                                                                                                                                                          
  • Ability to manage food cost and labor cost according to budget     
  • Must have strong coaching skills to build a culinary team focused on professionalism and culture     
  • Fine dining experience is  required in a similar environment   
  • Work with FOH management to create clear direction for the teams to execute well together     

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a graceful, warm presence
  • Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position                                                                
  • Open availability and a career mentality  

Preferred Certifications:

  • CPR/1st Aid Certified
  • NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
