Job Description

 

Untitled is looking for a Service Manager to focus on our beverage programs, including cocktails, spirits and coffee! 

Responsibilities included:

Ensure high performance and profitability while maintaining overall excellence & hospitality throughout each day’s specific service periods. 

• Effectively open physical operation/close physical operation 
• Organize and complete the administrative set up and break down of service (including but not limited to: creation of floor plans, menus, employee check in, employee cash outs, bank close out, sending of shift report, etc.) 
• Maintain effective & timely communication to all FOH/BOH and team members. 
• Maintain positive working relationship with kitchen leaders and line staff throughout service periods 
• Direct and monitor service staff's adherence to all technical and hospitality service standards. 

Assuring Bar Service Excellence through Training and Education

• Train and supervise quality control of bar team and beverage team performance, product knowledge, and organization 
• Assist with Barback and Bartender beverage/service training 
• Leadership by example- maintain a full time schedule of tipped bartender and liquid liaison shifts, responsible for all points of accountability under these job descriptions 

Driving Program Excellence through Organization, Creativity, and Collaboration

• Oversee the ordering of all spirit, beer, and beverage products for Untitled and Studio Cafe
• Collaborate with ops/purchasing manager to consistently refine requisition process and storage systems
• Maintain cost sheet for all spirit, beer, and beverage product to assure healthy cost structure and competitive pricing 
• Conduct monthly inventory of all associated product

Qualifications Include:

  •  1-2 years of previous service management experience in a restaurant setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wine, beer and mixology - must be able to make standard cocktails  
  • Understanding of Micros  or relevant POS systems Excellent communicator - ability to understand, speak & follow written and verbal instruction in English
  • Attention to detail & well organized
  • Team-oriented Initiative & follow through
  • Prioritization & multi-tasking
