Job Description
Skillsoft is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team in Nashua, NH. The Sr. Product Manager reports to the VP Product Management, Technology and is responsible for driving and managing Skillsoft mobile products based on the needs of customers and the business. This includes providing guidance on product dependencies and making tradeoff decisions that impact releases. The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the vision, scope, business requirements, positioning, and release of complex technology products and cross-product solutions, and will work closely with Product Development, QA, Marketing Communications, Sales, Customer Support and Consulting Technical Services departments.

Position Responsibilities:

Drive the product concept phase including consensus building and confirmation that Skillsoft will build out a product or product release

Actively manage and maintain the product roadmap and provide input to product maintenance

Document and drive all changes to Skillsoft products including new features, change orders and inter-product dependencies

Own the Vision, Scope and Business Requirements(VSBR) for products/projects

Participate and approve project scope. Work with Engineering to refine scope when necessary to ensure project timelines are met

Support Engineering development of High Level Product Scope (HLPS), Low Level Product Scope (LLPS), Simulations and estimates

Assist in scheduling and conducting UI simulation reviews with customers

Review release notes, user manuals and training material

Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan

Work with Readiness team to create and execute readiness plans. Includes preparation and conducting demos/user training

Define and coordinate the product roll out plan

Provide product information, product knowledge and sales support to direct sales and channel sales organizations

7-10 years of experience in Software Product Management

Experience developing and executing on a mobile (smartphone and tablet) product expansion strategy

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Domain expertise including Internet, Web Based Learning, Skillsoft Target Markets, and/or Training Business

Working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint

Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment

Highly organized and successful in making aggressive deadline commitments and meeting them

Self-starter and team player

Strong multi-tasking skills

Technical knowledge of the Internet

Education and Certifications
BA/BS or related degree
