Job Description

Role Summary:  To provide Sales support, quotations, account and project order management for the Project Services Department and our customers focused primarily in the markets of treatment plant construction, large restrained joint water and sewer pipelines, fabricated products, other value added high risk made to order products and special applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with Customers, U.S. Pipe Sales Reps, Design Draftsmen, U.S. Pipe Plants, Operations Planning, Outside Vendors to coordinate all aspects of releasing, ordering, manufacturing, purchasing, shipping, and claims involved with Special Projects assigned by the Senior Project Manager or other Managers.
  • Provides Sales Department and/or customers with project quotations and pricing on bill of materials.
  • Prepares customer complaints, records information, resolves customer conflicts and emergencies.
  • Prepares drawings and bills of material for projects as needed to backup Drafter.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by Managers.




Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in construction field such as project management, estimator would be helpful.
  • Excellent math skills required. 
  • Ability to read engineering plans and review specifications accurately. 
  • Good computer skills.  
  • Ability to work together with others effectively in team oriented processes.

    Qualifications:

  • Must be a current college student or recent graduate.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • The employee will be working in an office environment with limited business travel.   The employee will be exposed (very briefly) to the following working conditions:  Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
  • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time):  Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.  The majority of the actions will be sitting.
