Position Overview:

The VP & GM, IT Content Solutions (GM IT) reports to SVP, Global Content Sales and is responsible for building & leading Skillsoft’s IT Content Solutions sales team and serving as the GTM leader for Skillsoft’s $50m+ IT Content Solutions business.

The GM IT will build & manage a specialist sales team that is responsible for growing Skillsoft’s IT Content Solutions business.

The GM IT will establish a framework, in partnership and collaboration with key business stakeholders, for the development and growth of the IT content solution business.  In particular, the GM IT will be responsible for effective sales partnering strategies, sales plays and incentives to work effectively with the existing core content field and inside sales teams to drive growth.  This role will also be responsible for identifying, evaluating and recommending new revenue channels.

In addition, the GM IT will act as Skillsoft’s ambassador to external constituencies including customers, government, academia, thought leaders, and industry associations, and play a critical role from an AR/PR perspective with respect to IT content solutions

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT Content Solutions business plan for delivering strategic growth and margin objectives in alignment with Skillsoft’s overall strategic and revenue growth objectives
  • Lead sales and business development activities and operations of IT Content solutions team
  • Ability to recruit, lead and manage IT Content Solutions sales specialist team globally
  • Establish strategic partnerships to grow IT Content Solutions business
  • Collaborate with marketing, development and other sales teams to develop and implement GTM strategy to meet IT Content Solutions KPIs
  • Develop new market opportunities in collaboration with Skillsoft business stakeholders
  • Promote Skillsoft’s culture and values internally and externally

    Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience managing a national or global sales team delivering $30m+ revenue
  • Proven experience attracting top sales talent to build high performing national and global sales teams
  • Proven ability building successful business plans for $30m+ solutions
  • Success at selling multiple $1m+ enterprise software/content deals into the IT organizations
  • Understanding of IT trends and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability driving sales performance sales performance
  • Experience working in start-up or private equity environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation and forecasting skills

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software or content solution sales at Fortune 1000 level
