BASIC FUNCTION
The Business Analyst for Tuition Management Systems is a key partner with Application Developers, the Product group and Line of Business sponsors/subject matter experts to identify and articulate business processes and user requirements to aid in driving new product implementations, product enhancements and process improvements. Analysis includes data modeling and process mapping to identify the impact of these solutions on existing systems as well as on the organization’s business. The BA serves as an integral contributor assisting in the development of product and process objectives, gathering system and business requirements, documenting existing business processes, developing new and re-engineered business processes and performing prioritization of work to achieve completion of a strategic objective. The Business Analyst is able to act independently as well as with a project team where they are responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions.
The Business Analyst is expected to have a full understanding of the organization’s product portfolio, data structures and industry requirements. While the focus is on requirements gathering, process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment, of equal importance will be the ability to communicate and implement these changes to the impacted Business Community.
