Skillsoft, the global leader in corporate learning is seeking an experienced professional outside sales executive with a history of over performance in quota attainment to join our Field Sales team as Customer Sales Director, IT Solutions.

In this newly created role you will work remotely from a home office and sell our vast IT and Developer solutions line directly to Enterprise IT Departments.

As a Customer Sales Director, IT Solutions you will represent the leader in eLearning, online training and talent solutions for an enterprise organization’s most valuable resource, its people.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Selling directly to Enterprise IT and Development decision makers focused on selling our IT Solutions  within an existing customer base as well as new business prospects

Work in partnership with existing sales teams to bring our IT solutions to current customers and expand our footprint within those accounts

Develop and execute prospecting strategies to identify, qualify and close new business and grow existing customers across several geographic regions

Deliver compelling customer presentations that expertly articulate the Skillsoft Value Proposition

Develop, maintain and grow an ongoing sales pipeline

Maintain current and accurate information on account status and sales activity in SalesForce.com

Manage the sales process from initial contact through close using Salesforce CRM

Accurately forecast order intake

Develop and deploy strategies for securing new accounts

Preferred Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years successful sales experience in IT sales

Experience selling into IT Departments (specifically CIOs) is required

Direct experience in the learning or human capital, human capital technology space is preferred

Sales experience must demonstrate ability to exceed sales targets, a keen understanding of the steps involved in a sales cycle and ability to leverage each stage to advance the sale is required

Develop a thorough understanding of Skillsoft sales plays

Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth

Ability to call high in an organization and interact with senior level IT and Development Leaders

Must be comfortable demonstrating software and speaking to technical and executives

Ability to speak the language of IT and Developers

Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive, winning attitude

Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail

Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close

Solid grounding in business concepts and dynamics

Ability to understand complex client requirements and to clearly articulate the company’s offerings to develop solutions to meet those requirements

Possess understanding of current web and cloud technologies

The ability to develop and sustain critical relationships across client and prospect base is essential

Willingness to travel (30% plus)

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
